FAQs about the More4Members rewards program



The Member card currently in circulation is out-of-date. It reflects pre-demutualisation branding (ie. the old NRMA M&S logo) and needed refreshing to bring it in-line with the current look and feel of all other Member communications.

There is also no functionality built into the old card (i.e. the magnetic stripe and barcode on the current card doesn't do anything). The card re-issue coincides with the launch of the More4Members program. To access the program benefits, a Member must now physically hand over their card. The new functionality in the card will recognise the Member and enable the benefit.
We have recognised that some Memberships actually include a number of people within them (e.g. partners/spouse) and therefore want to be able to give each individual their own unique card and number that's still linked to the original Membership. It works just like the Medicare system - the primary Member is identified as 01 with subsequent Members as 02, 03, etc.
Only numbers work with our new program. Barcode scanners and magnetic stripe readers can't read alpha characters (i.e. letters). So we've had to update a handful of Members' cards to reflect this change and ensure their new cards enable them to access the program.
In the event that your lost keys are found and sent to NRMA, we will endeavour to get your keys returned to you. We are able to do this without compromising your privacy because we use your Membership number which is printed on your key tag to find out exactly who the keys belong to. Find out more
The distribution of new Member cards will take at least 8 weeks as we need to send them to over 2 million Members. Distribution will commence in the last week of July and run through until the end of September 2008.
If you have an old card (i.e. the current card) and have not yet received your new Member card you will still be eligible to redeem the discounts and benefits as you always have, but where the Member card needs to be physically scanned (or swiped) you won't be entered into the promotion because old (current) cards do not have the technical functionality required. But don't worry, the promotion runs until the end of December 2008 so you'll have plenty of time to enter. Plus, you can still be entered into the promotion for transactions over the phone or online or by registering for Offer Alerts on this website.
The More4Members rewards program is NRMA M&S's own, exclusive rewards program. It has been specifically designed for our Members and can only be accessed within NSW and ACT. We wanted to develop a rewards program which was relevant to our Members and provides discounts and benefits right across the growing NRMA family of businesses.
Yes - along with over 50 other Motoring Clubs around the world (including all the Australian Car Clubs), NRMA is still a part of the SYC&S program.

This is the easiest way for you to differentiate between the two:

1. The More4Members rewards program is new and exclusive to NRMA M&S with offers only available in NSW and ACT.

2. SYC&S discounts are available when travelling interstate and internationally. Look for the logo. The offers are primarily in the travel, entertainment and accommodation area.

NOTE: Members are not at a disadvantage. You can still access all the SYC&S benefits at participating partners exactly as you have been up to this point.
All valid NRMA M&S Members. At this stage, Free2go and BusinessWise Members are excluded. However, it is planned that Free2go Members will also transition onto the program and receive new cards sometime in the future. In the mean time they can still redeem Free2go benefits at partners by showing their card.
Just use your card at a partner outlined in the More4Members rewards program brochure or website. Make sure your Membership number is recorded or your card scanned in order to access the benefits.
No - as long as your Membership is valid there is no additional cost.
SYC&S is an international benefits program that allows you to get benefits around Australia and overseas. More4Members is NRMA M&S's own rewards program which has been specifically designed for our Members and can only be accessed within NSW and ACT.

Look for the More4Members rewards program logo in NSW and ACT but when travelling interstate or overseas look for the SYC&S logo.
All the benefits and discounts outlined in the brochure and on the More4Members website as may be amended from time to time.

As part of the More4Members rewards program launch, we carefully evaluated our current partners and looked at the value they could bring to our Members. Those partners we felt could not deliver the required value to our Members were not included in the program moving forward. This is an area of the program which will continually develop and evolve. As always, we love to get Member feedback. Please go to 'have your say' and let us know your suggestions.
Family and Friends refers to how we classify our partners in the More4Members rewards program. Put simply, Family refers to those products, services or companies that NRMA M&S wholly owns or has a financial holding in (e.g. Thrifty). It also includes NRMA Insurance. Friends refers to a company we have partnered with but do not own (e.g. Rebel Sport, OPSM and Beaurepaires).
A number of our partners have offers which are relevant for all Members, regardless of their residential location.

These include all our online partners, such as Dell, Fountain Cosmetics and E*TRADE, as well as our NRMA family products, such as CarWise, Car Loans and NRMA Insurance Multi Policy Discount, which can be transacted over the phone or online.
The More4Members rewards program terms and conditions outline that any transaction undertaken by a Member will be subject to some data being collected. Therefore, to access any of the More4Members rewards program discounts or benefits, the details of the NRMA Member card and the transaction will be collected by NRMA.

Please see the 'Partners' section on this site - and then the relevant partner page that you are interested in - to see if this is a participating promotion partner. Only financial transactions will be eligible to be included in the promotion.
Yes, your years of Membership with NRMA M&S will always be recognised and are reflected on your new Member card.

When you access the More4Members rewards program, some transactional information is passed to NRMA M&S by the partner. Your data is always kept confidential by NRMA M&S - as with all other data we have about our Members.

NOTE:
1. If you use your Member card (i.e. you access a More4Members discount or benefit) you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the program.

2. As a Member, you cannot stop us collecting your data if you decide to use the More4Members rewards program. However, you can opt out of marketing communications.
